How to convert Word to PDF

Choose or drop your .docx file, press Convert to PDF, then download it. Most employers and application systems in The Bottom accept PDF, and a PDF keeps your CV looking exactly as you designed it — no shifted lines or missing fonts on the recruiter's screen.

Before you send it

  • Open the PDF and check every page — especially page breaks and any tables.
  • Name the file clearly, e.g. Firstname-Lastname-CV.pdf.
  • Some application systems read Word files better than PDFs — if an advert asks for .docx, send the Word file.
Is my document stored or shared?

No. The document is converted on our server and deleted as soon as the conversion finishes — it is never saved, and nobody looks at it. We keep only a record that a conversion happened (file type, size, page count and how long it took).

Do I need an account?

No — you can convert 3 files a day without one. A free Expertini account lets you convert many more.

Can I convert an old .doc file?

If the page lists .doc as supported, yes. Otherwise open it in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and save it as .docx first.

Need the other way round?

Use PDF to Word to turn a PDF into an editable .docx document.
