Skill coach planner
Pick the skills your next role in The Bottom asks for, break each one into milestones you can tick off, log the time you put in — and let AI draft a week-by-week learning plan sized to the hours you really have.

How to learn a new skill while job hunting
Employers in The Bottom hire for what you can show, not for courses you have started. The planner keeps you honest: one skill at a time, small milestones you can prove, and a record of the time you actually put in.
1. Choose skills from real adverts
Open five adverts for the role you want and note the skills that come up again and again. Add the two or three you are weakest in as Planned. Move one to Learning now — progress is faster on one skill than on five. Not sure where to start? The application analyser compares your CV with a job advert, and the career path visualiser shows roles you can grow into.
2. Make milestones you can show
“Watch a course” is not a milestone; “build a sales dashboard from a public dataset” is. Each milestone should leave something behind — a project, a document, a certificate or a piece of work you can talk about in an interview.
3. Rate your level honestly
1 = complete beginner, 2 = knows the basics, 3 = can do routine work, 4 = confident and independent, 5 = could teach it. The level is your own rating — nobody else sees it — so it is only useful if it is honest.
4. Log short sessions
A two-line journal note after each session is enough. The hours add up on the skill and in Progress, which helps you see whether your weekly plan is realistic.
5. Put it on your CV the right way
List the skill with the project or result that proves it, and describe your level truthfully. Then update your CV in the CV builder.
What does the AI learning plan do?
It drafts a 4–8 week plan for one skill, sized to your current level and the hours you have each week, with milestones, kinds of resources to use and a note on how to show the skill on your CV. It does not give links and names a resource only when it is a widely known free one — always check before you rely on it. Each plan uses one AI request from your plan: Free includes 1 a month, Premium 25 and Executive 100.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your skills and journal are saved to your own Expertini account (so you can also see them in the Expertini app) and are never shown to employers.
Can I use it without an account?
You can try it, but nothing is saved until you create a free account or sign in, and the AI plan needs an account.
I used the old skill coach — where are my skills?
The old version kept everything in your browser only. Sign in on the same browser and the page offers to move those skills and journal entries into your account.
